Where will your next stop be?
On September 13th of 2019, we traveled by train to destinations beyond our imagination. Over 30 artists, both DC-based and beyond, shared their take on what you might see outside of a train window.
With roughly 400 attendees, the collaborative animation showcase took place in Dupont Underground. Originally a subterranean streetcar station, the stretch of decommissioned track now hosts art and technology events. Projectors looped Next Stop submissions onto the ex-station walls.
As acoustic guitar and vocals of Haku Kim reverberated across the walls of the abandoned streetcar station, guests walked the track to choose their favorite.
Conner Troxclair took home the laser-cut 'Best in Show' wooden train whistle for his piece "Yer Next Stashin!"
